Cattle help manage the land - rotational grazing is a tool used to keep the native prairie functioning as a healthy ecosystem. Our cattle is raised without antibiotics or hormones, and the calves raised for beef have spent their entire lives freely roaming the grass pastures of the ranch.
We manage the land for wildlife, so the many deer, birds, butterflies, and other wildlife have a place to live.
Native wildflowers, like this Indian Blanket and Bee Balm feed insects, and insects feed birds!
Native grasses, like this Indiangrass, have been reestablished as part of our prairie restoration on over 50 acres. Our favorite bird, the scissortail flycatcher (seen in the Grace Ranch logo), is one of many grassland birds that have declined in population and need this open habitat to survive.
